Recycled Wallboard

At its plants in New England and near Chicago, the company is reclaiming gypsum board scrap from new construction sites in those areas. No demolition waste is used. National Gypsum uses third-party processors with special equipment to collect and reprocess the material, producing a finely-ground gypsum that the Company can use in its wallboard operations. Up to approximately 10% of those plants' total gypsum requirements can be satisfied with this material.

Its plant near San Francisco accepts gypsum board waste from construction sites and grinds it for agricultural uses. All scrap generated at the Company's own wallboard plants is returned to the manufacturing process.
